Acne is common these days in teenagers and also among adults. Almost everyone at some point will experience the symptoms of acne.

Acne is usually the swelling in the sebaceous gland present deep in the follicles, causing pimples, blackheads, whiteheads. It is seen in both male and female, but its severity is more common in males during their teenage years. Mild to moderate forms can be seen more commonly in mid-aged women and they are more vulnerable to acne rosacea.

Symptoms:

Acne mostly occurs in the face region, neck area, upper back, but may also affect other parts of the body. It may appear as blackheads or whiteheads.

Blackheads:

An open skin pore or hair follicle that has become blocked due to the accumulation of dead skin cells and excessive oils and bacteria.

Whiteheads:

A closed skin pore or hair follicle that has become blocked due to the accumulation of dead skin cells and excessive oils and bacteria.

Pimples:

Red, tender lumps with that contain white pus at their tips. Caused by overproduction of oil and a build up of bacteria.

Cysts:

If the blockage is severe or penetrates deeper into the skin, causing the formation of slightly greater bodies and more severe than the pimples called the cysts. They can be colored red or pale yellow, in some cases, they are filled completely with the pus-like fluid making it much worse.

Causes:

The main cause is still unknown but stress, poor living conditions, and an unhealthy diet can be a contributing factor.
The follicles mainly in the neck region, face, or the back area is the most likely area affected by acne.
